Every check, who did it, and what's late

Gyms keep a lot of paper: AED checks, extinguisher tags, cleaning sheets, equipment inspections, CPR cards, registrations. GymCams puts it on a phone or tablet, reminds the right person when something is due, and prints a clean log when someone asks for it.

Demo with a fictional gym on a Friday morning. Mark a check done: leave a box unticked and it asks what's wrong. "Print the log" gives the page an inspector would see.

Checks you can load on day one

Starting templates, written from the rules gyms commonly fall under. You edit them to match your state, county, equipment and insurer.

CleaningOpening and closing cleans, locker rooms, sauna, spa and pool water tests, chemical safety data sheetsCounty health codes, state pool rules, OSHA hazard communication
EquipmentCables and pulleys, treadmill stops, rack safeties, out-of-order tags and repair ticketsMaker's maintenance schedules and your insurer
Injuries and incidentsIncident reports for members and staff; staff injuries ready for the OSHA 300 log if you keep oneOSHA 29 CFR 1904 (gyms with more than 10 employees) and your insurer

Good to know: GymCams keeps the records your staff enter and reminds you of the dates you set. Which rules apply to your gym is for you, your local authority and your lawyer to decide.

  • A note and a photo when something isn't right, and an out-of-order ticket that stays open until it's fixed.
  • Reminders to the person on shift, and a morning summary to the manager.
